Science Fiction for the Holidays

Many people, including me, received gifts of science fiction over the holidays. What about you? Is there a new book, comic, game, or movie in your home? How about a new piece of technology, such as a robot or model rocket?

Challenge: Science Fiction Gift

Please help me with the following survey. Let me know if you, a friend, or a family member received a science fiction gift this holiday. What did the person who got the gift think of it? Include the following:

  • What was it? (Was it a book, a game, a movie, new technology, or something else?)
  • How could you tell it involved science fiction? (What was it about the cover, the story, the setting, or the packaging that gave you a clue?)

Then rate this gift as:

  • Great! Can't wait to show my friends.
  • Okay. Some fun, but not exceptional.
  • Yuck. Wish I could give it back.

As my little SF gift back to you, I will give a personalized, autographed bookmark to everyone who sends in a "Science Fiction Gift Survey" to challenge@snkids.com before the end of January. Please include your first name, age, city or town, and state. If you are under 13 years old, get your parent's permission to write to us.
