Five pups dug into dinner. Polaris ate more than Sirius; Castor ate less than Pollux; Pollux ate less than Sirius but more than Rigel. Which pup ate the second most?

Sirius ate the second most food.
Polaris is the top eater because all other pups are described as eating less than someone else. Sirius comes in second because she eats more than Pollux who eats more than either Rigel or Castor. Not enough information is given, however, to determine which pup is the leanest eater.
