Power words:

Allergy: a condition in which a person is very sensitive to something in the environment, such as pollen or a kind of food.A person with an allergy may sneeze, have trouble breathing and develop a rash on the skin. Allergies can be mild or so severe that a doctor is needed.

Climate change: a long-term change in the general or average weather conditions, including temperature, rainfall and wind. Global climate change, often associated with global warming, represents a long-term change in climate conditions around the globe, with some regions getting warmer, others cooler Caribbean islands have a year-round climate of warm breezes and sunshine.

Ecology: the scientific study of the relationships between living things and their environments.

Life cycle: the series of changes, or stages, in the life of a plant or an animal between the time that it reproduces to the time that its offspring become adults and are able to reproduce.

Migratory: traveling from one place to another at regular times of the year, often over long distances.

Phenology: the relationship between a periodic biological phenomenon and climatic conditions.

Pollen: powdery grains that contain the male sex cells of most plants. Pollen fertilizes the female sex cells to make seeds. Flowering plants and conifers produce pollen.
